Privacy without a scavenger hunt.

Hum needs track information to find lyrics. It does not need your music account password.

Playback information

Hum reads current track information exposed by Windows, supported browsers, and supported music players. This may include the song title, artist, album, artwork, playback state, and playback position. Hum uses it to identify the song, time the lyric, and render the overlay.

Lyric and artist requests

Hum sends song details to third party services when it searches for lyrics, artwork, artist biographies, photos, or tour information. Those services receive the information needed to answer the request and may receive standard network information such as your IP address.

Accounts and passwords

Hum does not ask for your Spotify, Google, Apple, Pandora, or other music service password. It relies on playback data already available on the Windows device.

Purchases

Polar is the Merchant of Record and processes checkout, payment, receipts, refunds, and license delivery. SYVR Studios receives the purchase and contact details needed to support the license, but does not receive or store full card numbers.

Website data

The Hum website does not load advertising trackers or third party analytics. Standard hosting logs may record IP address, browser, requested page, and request time for security and reliability.
